Model simulations of volcanic ash transport from Taupo volcano (New Zealand) during the 25 ka Oruanui eruption

This data release contains model output from 640 model simulations of volcanic ash transport during the 26ka Oruanui eruption at Taupo Volcano, New Zealand. The simulations were run as part of a study (Mattin et al., in review) that reports the discovery of Oruanui ash in three ice cores in Antarctica. The simulations helped constrain the set of conditions under which particles of a given size and shape might have reached Antarctica during this eruption. An explanation of the inputs and the model setup is given in the accompanying paper.
