Medi-Cal Certified Eligibles Data by Month with Demographics

These files contain monthly data by county for Medi-Cal certified eligibles, by various demographics traits. The data is split out and not distributed as a single dataset for the purposes of de-identification. The dataset by Aid Category provides monthly reporting from January 2022 through the most recent month available. Recent updates now reflect eligibility reporting pertaining to the full-scope expansion of the Adult Medi-Cal population, regardless of their immigration status. An archived version of the dataset by Aid Category covering January 2010 through August 2024 has been reuploaded for historical reference. __Note: Caution should be exercised when referencing immigration status data for calendar year 2022. The reliability of the 2022 data has not been fully verified as the data element was integrated into the DHCS MIS/DSS beginning in January 2023.__

Aid codes identify the criteria by which each person qualifies for Medi-Cal and the types of services he or she receives and make clear whether the services are funded by the State or Federal government or both.
