Hydrothermal manganese oxide rocks were collected via dredge from the Tulaga Seamount, the flank of Ofu Island, and from Soso seamount in the Samoa hotspot region offshore American Samoa during the KM0506 cruise aboard the R/V Kilo Moana in April of 2005. Rocks were subsampled at USGS and sent to SGS laboratories, Canada for major and trace element geochemistry. Major and trace element concentrations and thickness for the hydrothermal manganese oxides as well as location information (latitude, longitude, depth) for samples are provided here. This data release is comprised of legacy samples that have not been previously published. We acknowledge the National Science Foundation for funding cruise KM0506 during which these rocks were collected (Grant OCE-0351437).
