This data release contains two luminescence samples collected by the California Geological Survey during field work in 2019 and 2021 and analyzed at the USGS Luminescence Geochronology Laboratory. These samples were collected during California Geological Survey 1:24,000-scale geologic mapping of the Castle Peaks, Crescent Peak, Ivanpah, and Pinto Valley 7.5-minute Quadrangles along the New York Mountains in California. The New York Mountains are a northwest-trending mountain range spanning the border of California and Nevada in northeast San Bernardino, California, and southwest Clark, Nevada. These samples were analyzed the age of fan deposition based on luminescence dating of feldspar grains.
