| description | This document describes the experiments carried out in December 2019 and February-March 2020 in the Directional Wave Basin at the O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory, Oregon State University. Regular and irregular waves were generated in the absence and presence of a WEC, including regular and irregular waves using different wave generation and control strategies, emphasizing nonlinear wave conditions and nonlinear PTO control. Results of standard linear and 2nd-order wave generation are compared with results of a newly developed fully nonlinear wave generation technique using the Nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation. |
