IVyTools discharge and uncertainty results for eight benchmark image velocimetry videos: IVyTools Processing Results

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Catalog Last Checked: August 22, 2026 at 12:40 AM | Dataset Last Updated: August 19, 2026 at 12:00 AM
This child item contains the per-site IVyTools processing results for all eight Video Globe Challenge 2020 (VGC2020) videos. For each site (GDH1 through GDH8), three CSV files are provided:

Discharge Table ([SiteID]_discharge_table.csv): The midsection discharge computation table containing per-station data including station distance, width, depth, cross-sectional area, surface velocity, velocity coefficient (alpha), and unit discharge. This corresponds to the Discharge Stations table in IVyTools.

STIV Results ([SiteID]_stiv_results.csv): The pixel-level STIV velocity vectors for each grid node, including pixel coordinates, velocity components (U and V in m/s), velocity magnitude, normal magnitude (perpendicular to the cross section), vector direction, tagline direction, and mean flow direction.

STI Review Table ([SiteID]_sti_review_table.csv): The Space-Time Image review table documenting STIV performance at each grid node, including the velocity direction, STI stream angle (predominant streak angle computed by the STIV algorithm), original velocity magnitude, normal velocity magnitude, whether a manual correction was applied, the manual velocity magnitude (if applicable), and operator comments.

Sites are identified by the VGC2020 site abbreviations: GDH1 through GDH8. Note: Discharge table CSV files contain a non-ASCII character (Greek letter alpha, α) in the column header and are encoded using UTF-8.
