This dataset contains Iowa unemployment insurance benefit payments, weeks compensated, and number of benefit recipients by county. County data is based on the recipient’s place of residence. The dataset includes the following programs: Regular Unemployment Insurance (UI), Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE), Unemployment Compensation for Ex-servicemembers (UCX), and Voluntary Shared Work. The dataset does not include temporary extensions such as Extended Benefits (EB) and Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC). This data does not include benefits paid to persons living outside of Iowa (such as commuter claims from neighboring states).
