Iowa Unemployment Compensation Fund Status - Contribution Rate Distribution
This dataset summarizes UI contribution rate data for both private experienced rated employers and firms receiving a new employer rate by rate year. Data is based on a snapshot of the IWD contribution rate notice database. Reimbursable employers and government contributory employers are excluded. An individual employer's contribution rate is based on the employer's benefit experience and the rate table in effect. Prior to 2026, employer contribution rates In Iowa ranged from 0.0% to 9.0%. Beginning in 2026, employer contribution rates In Iowa can range from 0.0% to 5.4%.
