Published by Bureau of Reclamation | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: April 18, 2026 | Last Modified: 2022-01-12T21:44:19Z
The purpose of this data is to compare the corrosion and mechanical properties of multiple coating systems in order to determine which systems have the ideal properties for use on Reclamation structures. Corrosion data includes the following: HAR Immersion (rust creep, inches); DI Immersion (rust creep, inches); FOG Cyclic (rust creep, inches); QUV Cyclic (rust creep, inches); PRO Cyclic (rust creep, inches); BOR Cyclic (rust creep, inches); EIS (|Z| at 0.01 Hz, ohms). Mechanical test data includes the following: Cathodic Disbondment (disbondment radius, inches); Impact (in-lbs); Pull-off Adhesion (stress, psi/failure mode); Pull-off Adhesion (wet) (stress, psi/failure mode); Knife Adhesion (wet).
