This dataset contains physical, optical, and chemical properties of atmospheric marine aerosols aboard NOAA R/V Ronald H. Brown, collected 14 January to 31 March 1999 as part of the INDOEX field campaign. The first leg of the cruise was designated Aerosols99, and collected data during the transit from Norfolk, VA to Cape Town, South Africa, which was the official starting location of INDOEX. The data is divided into eight csv datasets, summarized as follows: Main - Navigation, Meteorology, and Scattering; Chemistry - Aerosol species concentrations at varying particle diameters; AOD - Aerosol optical depth at varying wavelengths; DMS - Seawater Dimethyl sulfide; Size Distribution (APS) - Aerodynamic Particle Size Distribution; Size Distribution (DMPS) - Differential Mobility Particle Size Distribution; Size Distribution (DMPS Dry) - Differential Mobility Particle Size Distribution at 10% RH; Size Distribution - Merged version of the APS and DMPS datasets
