A. SUMMARY Every parcel in San Francisco has a historic resource status. This dataset lists those historic resource statuses. Historic resource status codes for parcels are one of the following: • A: The parcel is a Historical Resource. • A*: The parcel is a Historical Resource because the parcel is listed in Article 10 or Article 11 of the San Francisco Planning Code or is located in a historic district that is listed in Article 10 or Article 11 of the San Francisco Planning Code. • B: Unknown Historic Resource status. • C: The parcel is not a Historical Resource B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) outlines how historical resources are identified and considered in planning. The process involves determining if a property is a "historic resource," and if proposed changes would cause a "substantial adverse impact" to the resource.
