High-resolution riverbed grain-size models of Oregon rivers
This data release includes rasters of riverbed grain size in select Oregon rivers where substrate size has been modeled following the approach of White and others (2025a) in which bathymetric lidar point-clouds were paired with georeferenced pebble counts to produce grain-size rasters for the Santiam River Basin (White and others, 2025b). Similar to White and others (2025b), this data release documents the modeled estimates of median grain size (D50) and 84th percentile grain size (D84) along with underlying pebble count data where available. Users are encouraged to read White and others (2025a) for details on model development and limitations. Grain-size rasters are limited to areas where bathymetric lidar returns were at least five points per square meter; areas with lower point density were removed from the model.
