Published by OpenTopography | OpenTopography | Catalog Last Checked: August 01, 2026 at 03:00 AM | Dataset Last Updated: December 19, 2024
A photogrammetric survey was conducted on a cypress forest in the highlands of Guadalupe Island, located in the eastern North Pacific Ocean near the coast of Baja California, Mexico. This ecosystem has been significantly impacted by fires and overgrazing and has undergone transformations due to management practices. The survey aimed to evaluate the recovery of the cypress forest following a fire in September 2008. Data collection took place in July 2016, using RGB and NIR cameras. The resulting image processing products included point clouds, canopy height models (CHM), a digital terrain model (DTM), and orthophotos.
