GPM Ground Validation R. M. Young Marine Anemometer UConn
The GPM Ground Validation R.M. Young Marine Anemometer UConn dataset includes wind speed and wind direction data collected by the Young Wind Monitor-MA. These data were collected during the GPM Ground Validation Field Campaign at the University of Connecticut, which provided an unprecedented set of wintry precipitation observations from multiple traditional and novel precipitation measurement instruments that can be used for validating ground-based and satellite remote sensing observations. The R.M. Young Marine Anemometer dataset files are available from December 07, 2022 through April 19, 2023, for the D3R site and from December 01, 2023 through May 21, 2024, for the GAIL site in the CSV format.
