Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Catalog Last Checked: August 29, 2026 at 06:45 PM | Dataset Last Updated: August 18, 2026 at 12:00 AM
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) data acquired during the USGS survey of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Reefense hybrid oyster reef structures and adjacent seabed at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. These data contain the positions of ground control points (GCPs) used during the uncrewed aerial system (UAS) survey, topographic measurements of the reef structure and the surrounding area, positions of control points used for the calibration of the fixed time-series camera deployed as part of the study, and positions of oceanographic instruments deployed during the study. The data were acquired using both survey-grade dual-frequency GPS receivers and a handheld GPS receiver operating in autonomous mode. The observations acquired using the dual-frequency receivers were post-processed using baselines from a GPS base station located on a temporary benchmark ("DP01") established on the north side of East Bay for the purposes of this survey. The coordinates are presented in a comma-delimited text file.
