Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Catalog Last Checked: August 01, 2026 at 06:14 AM | Dataset Last Updated: February 03, 2026 at 12:00 AM
Geothermal springs may be connected to both shallow and deep groundwater sources, and identification of variable spring sources may assist with resource management of geothermal systems. Numerous geothermal springs exist near the Yampa River in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and local water and land management agencies could benefit from information on the sources of these springs. This dataset contains continuous water temperature and specific conductance data, locations and attributes of geothermal features, data on noble gas isotopes, and data from mass-balance discharge measurements of the Yampa River.
