European remote sensing/Environmental Satellite (ERS/Envisat) Interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) line-of-sight deformation from 1992-06-17 to 2010-09-25 (NCEI Accession 0173735)

Published by NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce | Catalog Last Checked: August 03, 2026 at 03:11 AM | Dataset Last Updated: May 08, 2019 at 12:00 AM
This dataset contains co-registered interferograms formed from the images of the European Remote Sensing (ERS) and Environmental Satellite (Envisat) from June 17, 1992 to September 25, 2010. Each interferogram measures surface displacement in the radar line-of-sight direction between two dates. The interferograms are uncorrected (i.e., no corrections for atmospheric effects or orbital errors have been applied). This data is applied in a study to investigate complex ground deformation in Los Angeles groundwater basins due to groundwater withdrawal.
