EM304 Water Column Sonar Data Collected During EX2503
From April 8th to May 5th, 2025 (Honolulu, Hawai’i to Honolulu, Hawai’i), NOAA Ocean Exploration conducted the Beyond the Blue: Papahānaumokuākea ROV and Mapping expedition (EX2503), an ROV and Mapping expedition to Papahānaumokuākea National Marine Monument. EX2503 mapped 48,219 sq. km of seafloor (14,058.5 nautical miles) and conducted 18 dives with the Remotely perate Vehicle (ROV) Deep Discoverer. 127 biological specimens, 95 eDNA Water samples and 5 geological samplers were collected during the expedition. All data associated with this expedition have been archived and are publicly available through the NOAA archives.
