    Draft Critical Habitat for 2026-2027 IRP

    This layer consists of the most recent footprints of the Proposed and Final Critical Habitat for Threatened and Endangered Species from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). This layer is an updated version from what has been used as part of the previous CEC 2023 Core Land Use Screen. Critical habitat constitutes areas considered essential for the conservation of a listed species.  More information about this layer and its use in electric system planning is found in the CEC presentation from the August 19 webinar, as well as the 2023 Land Use Screens Staff Report in the CEC Energy Planning Library.
