Dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, water temperature, salinity, nutrients and other parameters collected from profile and discrete sample observations during R/V Johan Hjort and other research ships time series cruises in the North Atlantic Ocean, Norwegian See from 2011-01-13 to 2017-04-02 (NCEI Accession 0282292)

Metadata Updated: December 1, 2025

This dataset includes discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, water temperature, salinity, nutrients and other parameters collected from profile and discrete sample observations during R/V Johan Hjort and other research ships time series cruises in the North Atlantic Ocean, Norwegian See from 2011-01-13 to 2017-04-02. Marine CO2 system data (total alkalinity, and total dissolved inorganic carbon were collected from full water column on the IMR repeat section Fugløya-Bjørnøya in the Barents Sea, sometimes referred as the Barents Sea Opening (BSO). Sampling was generally performed once a year between January and May, although on some occasions sampling was performed at other times and other frequency.
