Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, pH on total scale, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations during the R/V Mirai cruise CLIVAR_I03I04 (EXPOCODE 49NZ20031209, 49MR03K04_5) in the Indian Ocean from 2003-12-09 to 2004-01-24 (NCEI Accession 0108101)

This dataset includes discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, pH on total scale, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC-11, CFC-12, CFC113), delta C13 and delta C14 obtained during the R/V Mirai cruise CLIVAR_I03I04 (EXPOCODE 49NZ20031209, 49MR03K04_5) in the Indian Ocean from 2003-12-09 to 2004-01-24. These data were collected by Shuichi Watanabe of JAMSTEC; Mutsu Institute for Oceanography (MIO), Masao Fukasawa of Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), and Akihiko Murata of Meteorological Research Institute as part of the CLIVAR_I03I04_2003_BEAGLE_2003 dataset. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this dataset: CLIVAR_I03I04_2003 (BEAGLE 2003). The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
