Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and total alkalinity (TA) and other hydrographic and chemical data collected from discrete sample and profile observations during the R/V Sikuliaq cruise SKQ202412s (EXPOCODE 33BI20240807) in the Bering and Chukchi Sea along transect lines in the Distributed Biological Observatory (DBO) from 2024-08-07 to 2024-08-26 (NCEI Accession 0304116)

Metadata Updated: December 1, 2025

This dataset includes hydrographic and chemical data collected from discrete sample and profile observations during the R/V Sikuliaq cruise SKQ202412s (EXPOCODE 33BI20240807) in the Bering and Chukchi Sea along transect lines in the Distributed Biological Observatory (DBO) from 2024-08-07 to 2024-08-26. These data include WATER CTD TEMPERATURE, CTD SALINITY, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), CTD Dissolved OXYGEN, and nutrients (Nitrate, Nitrite, Phosphate, Silicate, and Ammonium). The collection of marine carbonate system parameters during the oceanographic research cruise was funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Arctic Research Program (ARP). The Arctic Ecosystem & Climate cruise is a joint project funded by the NOAA Global Ocean Monitoring and Observing and Arctic Research Programs and NOAA Fisheries, the U.S. National Science Foundation, the North Pacific Research Board, the Alaska Ocean Observing System, the U.S. Office of Naval Research, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
