This dataset provides the annual disposable personal income of individuals living in Iowa beginning in 1948 as provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Table SAINC51, Line Code 51. Disposable personal income is after-tax income. The amount that Iowa residents have left to spend or save after paying taxes is important not just to individuals but to the whole economy. The formula is personal income minus personal current taxes. The personal income from wages, proprietors' income, dividends, interest, rents, and government benefits.
