Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Catalog Last Checked: August 01, 2026 at 03:33 AM | Dataset Last Updated: April 15, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Aerial photography surveys of Iliamna Volcano and the Johnson River in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska, were conducted in late July and early August 2019 by fixed-wing aircraft to generate updated elevation data and high-quality orthoimagery. The surveys were flown by the National Park Service (NPS) Alaska Regional Office (AKRO) in partnership with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO). Aerial imagery from the survey was processed using structure-from-motion (SfM) photogrammetric methods to derive the digital surface model (DSM) and orthoimagery in this data release.
