This data set describes metropolitan areas in the conterminous
United States, developed from U.S. Bureau of the Census
boundaries of Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Areas
(CMSA) and Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), that have
been processed to extract the largest contiguous urban area
within each MSA or CMSA.
