    • Delayed CTD and XBT data assembled and submitted by the Canada Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP)

    This collection includes global ocean temperature, salinity, and nutrient profile measurements taken by shipboard observers or automated instruments and received by the Marine Environmental Data Section (MEDS) of the Ocean Sciences Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada from the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) of the WMO World Weather Watch. MEDS applies the documented GTSPP quality assessment and duplicates removal procedures. This collection may include data from Argo floats, Ship of Opportunity Programme (SOOP) XBT networks, moored buoys, and other platforms.
