Data from the Study of Stream Corridor Sources of Suspended Sediment and Phosphorus in Plum Creek, WI, 2016 - 2018

Metadata Updated: September 5, 2025

Geomorphic assessment and sediment data were collected in 2017 for an integrated sediment fingerprinting and stream corridor-based sediment budget study of Plum Creek, a tributary to the Lower Fox River and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Data were collected for 30 stream reaches and include quantitative and qualitative measurements of channel geometry, bank and gully erosion, soft bed sediment volumes, and geomorphic settings. Geographic information system layers generated included gaging station locations, locations and data associated with reach-scale rapid geomorphic assessments, sampling sites for sediment collections for sediment fingerprinting, and segment-scale sediment and phosphorus budget estimates for the Plum Creek drainage network. This data release includes tabular data from all the rapid geomorphic assessment (RGA) sites, shapefiles of sites and stream segments, and sediment budget evaluations for the included sites. Sediment-bound phosphorus concentrations for bank and bed sediment are included.
