Published by Agricultural Research Service | Department of Agriculture | Catalog Last Checked: September 30, 2026 at 09:30 PM | Dataset Last Updated: September 04, 2026
Pacific oysters were experimentally fed two diets, one including Nannochloropsis oculata (NOC), and a second diet without NOC to evaluate if a growth or survival difference existed due to diet treatment. The data includes morphometrics on larval Pacific oyster and counts of number of larvae per sample. The juvenile (spat) data includes length and weight data on animals at the start and end of the experiment. This experiment was performed at the USDA ARS Pacific Shellfish Research Unit using Pacific Oyster Genomic Selection project hatchery infrastructure. The README file describes the content and variables used in the three data sheets.
