Data for development of a risk model of domestic dog attacks on threatened Agassiz’s desert tortoises (Gopherus agassizii) in the Mojave and Colorado deserts of California
The single database, assembled retrospectively between 2004 and 2007, which includes the following information: site name, desert region, distance (km) to the nearest settlement from the tortoise, unique identification number for the tortoise, sex, wear or aging class of the carapace, size of the tortoise, evidence of trauma to the gular horn and to shell and limbs, year collected, and decade of collections.
