Data describing the pH of soil prior to and following establishment of a mixed species wading bird rookery

During the 2020 breeding season, Double-crested Cormorants invaded the historic breeding colony of a mixed species wading bird rookery in the Chesapeake Bay, resulting in the destruction of suitable nesting habitat and subsequent relocation of the rookery the following breeding season. This new rookery was established at a site where soil pH was being measured for an unrelated study, presenting the opportunity to explore how soil pH changes following the establishment of a mixed wading bird rookery.
