    • Cooperative Shark Mark Recapture Database (MRDBS)

    The Shark Mark Recapture Database is a Cooperative Research Program database system used to keep multispecies mark-recapture information in a common format for management and analysis. It tracks fish and tags independently, is web based for remote access for data input and QA/QC, and has the capability to perform audits and updates.

    Lineage When a animal is tagged or recaptured, information about tag number, event, animal, location and contact is recorded.  These data are audited and entered into the Mark Recapture database using a web application with extensive data audits.
