Conodont and petrographic information to support 1:24,000-scale geologic mapping of the Cambrian and Ordovician rocks of the southern Lake Champlain valley
Conodonts were collected in the southern Lake Champlain valley to aid in identifying lithostratigraphic units, determining biostratigraphic zonations, and correlating to other regions. The conodonts were identified by experts in Cambrian and Ordovician micropaleontology. Microslides/thin sections were made of different lithostraphigraphic units of the southern Lake Champlain valley to develop a microfacies model to understand paleoenvironments that made up the Cambrian and Ordovician of this region. Thin-sections were described by experts in sedimentary and carbonate petrology.
