The Oregon Department of Energy’s Community Renewable Energy Grant Program offers grants up to $100,000 for planning and up to $1,000,000 for constructing community renewable energy and energy resilience projects to eligible public bodies, consumer-owned utilities and Oregon Tribes outside of Portland. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, renewable energy generation systems like solar or wind, and energy storage systems, EV charging stations, or microgrid technologies paired with new or existing renewable energy systems. At least 50% of grant funds are awarded to projects that serve environmental justice communities, and at least 50% awarded to projects that support community energy resilience.
