Chapter 6 Dataset Collection Informing Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Efforts in Support of Biodiversity
This dataset collection for Chapter 6 of the North American Biodiversity and Climate Change Assessment was used to analyze the interactions between climate change mitigation or adaptation and biodiversity conservation and how both can be addressed at the same time to optimize the outcomes for sustainability. Integrating climate change mitigation and adaptation and biodiversity conservation can be a balancing act but necessary. The linkages between climate change and biodiversity are complex and to ensure to act on both, the linkages are important to understand. Climate change and other human stressors act on the social-ecological system and impact ecosystem diversity and nature contributions to people.
