Change in Seasonal Temperature by State 1896-2023
Full Metadata These maps show the total change in the average seasonal temperature for each of the contiguous 48 states from 1896 to 2023, in degrees Fahrenheit. Total change in temperature was calculated from the long-term average rate of change. The three-month seasons are defined as follows: winter (December, January, February), spring (March, April, May), summer (June, July, August), and fall (September, October, November).
