CARICOOS real-time buoy observations near Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands at PR1 - CarICOOS Data Buoy A, located at 17d 52.200m N, 66d 32.220m Wl, South of Caja de Muertos Island. Buoy PR116 was deployed from 2024-07-31 11:31:00 through 0000-00-00 00:00:00 UTC. Instrument_1: Sea surface wave measurements of signficant wave height and dominant wave period are estimated from vertical accelerations measured twice each hour by a 3-axis accelerometer onboard the buoy. Instrument_2: Sea surface wave measurements of significant wave height, dominant wave period, and mean wave direction are measured hourly by an Axys TRIAXYS wave sensor onboard the buoy.
