Capture mark recapture data from giant gartersnakes (Thamnophis gigas) trapping in the Central Valley of California
These data support a long term demography study examining the occupancy, abundance, growth, capture, and survival of giant gartersnakes (Thamnophis gigas). We captured giant gartersnakes inhabiting rice irrigation canals, tidal sloughs and freshwater marshs in the Central Valley, California, USA. Data also include giant gartersnake morphometric data, trapline characteristics, environmental conditions and vegetation composition on the trapline. These data have been utilized in a variety of manuscripts, annual reports and Open-File Reports (OFR) that support giant gartersnake population monitoring and species conservation in the Central Valley, California, USA.
