Boston: Drug-Related Emergency Department Visits, 2004-2011 - Nonmedical Use of Pharmaceuticals
Excel file with estimates, rates, relative standard errors, trends and confidence intervals for all drug-related emergency department (ED) visits involving the nonmedical use of pharmaceuticals (prescription and over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements) for the Boston metropolitan area, covering 2004-2011. Nonmedical use includes patients who took a higher than prescribed or recommended dose of their own medication, patients who took a pharmaceutical prescribed for another person, malicious poisoning of the patient by another individual, and documented substance abuse involving pharmaceuticals.
