These data represent hourly temperatures recorded at four permanent subtidal monitoring sites around San Nicolas Island, CA from October 2001 to October 2019. The temperatures were recorded by archival temperature loggers attached to the sea floor. The loggers were deployed approximately 10-12 m deep at Nav Fac (12 m) on the north side of the island, at West End Urchin (11 m) on the southwest side, at East Dutch Harbor (11 m) on the south side, and at Daytona Beach (10 m) near the east end of the island. The data here include temperature readings from Nav Fac from October 2001-May 2003, May 2005-July 2011, October 2011-April 2014, and November 2015-October 2019. Temperature readings for East Dutch Harbor range from October 2011-October 2019. Data from West End and Daytona range from November 2014-October 2019.
