Atmospheric pollutant and other data were collected from the TRIDENT and tower from 01 February 1972 to 01 September 1972. Data include trace metals in the atmosphere, and the surface microlayer in Narragansett Bay. Data also include mercury concentrations from the Connecticut River, Mystic River, and the Long Island Sound. Data were collected by the University of Rhode Island (URI) as part of the International Decade of Ocean Exploration (IDOE). Data was submitted to the National Science Foundation as a report titled 'Atmospheric Pollutant Transport and Deposition of the Seas Surface' on 31 October 1972. Analog copies of report are available by contacting NODC user services.
