Published by National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Catalog Last Checked: September 28, 2026 at 08:21 PM
The AMP ALS Program is a collaborative effort that unites resources and expertise from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), academia, life science companies, foundations, patient-focused organizations, and research nonprofits. Its goal is to address the significant challenges in diagnosing, understanding, and treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive and fatal neurological disease. AMP ALS is building the largest data resource for ALS research to accelerate the discovery of biomarkers and clinical outcome assessments, enabling earlier diagnosis and faster development of effective treatments.
