Data table for the Capital Investment Created (summary) performance measure. Tempe is a refreshing urban oasis that attracts capital investment with our excellent access to four freeways, proximity to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and a large, educated workforce. Capital investment is money that is spent by a business to purchase fixed assets, such as land, machinery, or buildings. The City of Tempe is a member of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) and with the membership staff tracks collaborative efforts to recruit business prospects and locates. The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) is a performance-driven, public-private partnership.
