From May 7-13, 2022, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) conducted a geologic assessment, including bathymetric mapping, near Kailua, Hawaii in support of efforts to construct an artificial coral reef offshore of Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH). Geophysical data were collected as part of the Coastal Sediment Availability and Flux and Defense Advanced Research Protection Agency (DARPA) Reefense projects.
