Published by National Geodetic Survey | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce | Catalog Last Checked: August 02, 2026 at 05:10 PM | Dataset Last Updated: January 01, 2026 at 12:00 AM
In July 2023, NV5 was contracted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to collect topobathymetric Light Detection and Ranging (lidar) data from August 2023 to July 2024 for the NOAA Ozarks site. The NOAA Ozarks area of interest encompasses several river sections in Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. In total, the base project area of the NOAA Ozarks project encompasses approximately 745 square statute miles. The final classified lidar data were transformed from ellipsoid (GRS80) to geoidal height (Geoid18) and used to create topobathymetric DEMs in Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF format with 1m pixel resolution.
