2009 USVI

EPA conducted a small regional coral reef assessment at 13 stations selected to represent a range of human influence around Charlotte Amalie (CA) Port in St. Thomas. Sites were selected to represent an east-west gradient of human disturbance with CA at its center. In order to minimize habitat differences, all locations were selected in close proximity to land and at a similar depth (5-9 m). Multiple biological assemblages were measured, including stony corals, sponges and gorgonians, fish, and invertebrates.
