2000 population density by block group for the conterminous United States
This data set represents 2000 population density by block group
as a 100-m grid using data from the 2000 Census of Population
and Housing. The demographic data is from CensusCD 2000 Short
Form Blocks published by GeoLytics, E. Brunswick, NJ, which uses
the 2000 Census Summary File 1 (SF 1). Grid cell values
represent population density in people per square kilometer
multiplied by 10 so that the data could be stored as integer.
