Ground water in\n1,305 square miles of Quaternary-age alluvial and terrace\ndeposits along the Cimarron River from Freedom to Guthrie is an\nimportant source of water for irrigation, industrial, municipal,\nstock, and domestic supplies. Alluvial and terrace deposits are\ncomposed of interfingering lenses of clay, sandy clay, and\ncross-bedded poorly sorted sand and gravel. The aquifer is\ncomposed of hydraulically connected alluvial and terrace\ndeposits that unconformably overlie the Permian-age Formations.\n\t\t\nThe aquifer boundaries along geological contacts were extracted\nfrom published digital geology data sets. Additional boundaries\ndefining the geographic limits of the aquifer and areas of less\nthan 5 feet saturated thickness were digitized from a mylar map,\nat a scale of 1:250,000. The maps were published at a scale of\n1:900,000.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9NS4CJJ", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.f26d2e15-73c2-4b62-abb3-5ea7f745def6.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_f26d2e15-73c2-4b62-abb3-5ea7f745def6", "keyword": ["Cimarron River alluvial and terrace aquifer", "Cimarron River alluvial aquifer", "Cimarron River aquifer", "Cimarron River terrace aquifer", "Cimarron alluvial and terrace aquifer", "Cimarron alluvial aquifer", "Cimarron aquifer", "USGS:f26d2e15-73c2-4b62-abb3-5ea7f745def6", "alluvial aquifer", "aquifer boundary", "aquifers", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "ground water", "ground-water vulnerability", "groundwater", "groundwater vulnerability", "inlandWaters", "terrace aquifer"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-99.0874, 35.7774, -97.5243, 36.8974", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Digital data sets that describe aquifer characteristics of the alluvial and terrace deposits along the Cimarron River from Freedom to Guthrie in northwestern Oklahoma"}
