"description": "This dataset represents hydrostratigraphic units of the Transboundary Santa Cruz Aquifer in Arizona and Sonora, the boundary of which is defined by the Transboundary Aquifer Assessment Program. The hydrostratigraphic unit boundaries were defined based on previous hydrological studies in Arizona and Sonora, electrical properties derived from traverse electromagnetic (TEM) surveys (Culbertson and others, 2010), and correlation with hydrological characteristics of neighboring aquifers (by authors of the Binational Study of the Transboundary Santa Cruz Aquifer, 2026). Please see Chapter 5 of the Binational Study for a full list of references.",
