A RDI Workhorse Monitor current profiler was deployed on the reef flat and configured to measure three-dimensional flow velocities throughout the water column. Current measurements were taken at a rate of 1 hertz (Hz) for 120 seconds (s) every 10 minutes; each 120-s sampling was internally averaged to provide data at 10-minute resolution.
