Using data from a multi\u2011year trapping program and a crossover experiment near Everglades National Park, we evaluated whether bait baskets influence tegu or nontarget captures, trap disturbance, or rebaiting needs. The crossover design strengthened inference by allowing each trap to serve as its own control, reducing variability and improving detection of treatment effects.
